Receipt Desk
Last updated: April 22, 2026
Receipt Desk (“we”, “the app”) is an iOS app that helps you create professional receipts on your device. This policy describes what data the app handles and, critically, what it does not.
Summary
- Receipt Desk does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal information on our servers. We do not operate servers that receive your data.
- All receipts, customer information, business profile data, and settings stay on your device.
- The only data that leaves your device is (a) a receipt you choose to share via the iOS share sheet, and (b) subscription events handled by Apple.
What the app stores on your device
All of the following is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple’s SwiftData framework:
- Receipts you create (line items, amounts, tax, dates, payment method, notes, signature).
- Customer names and optional customer email addresses that you type.
- Your business profile (name, logo, address, phone, email) — used to render your receipts.
- App settings and subscription entitlement state.
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it.
What the app does not collect
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising. Receipt Desk does not include third-party analytics SDKs, ad networks, or tracking libraries.
- No account, no sign-in. Receipt Desk does not require you to create an account.
- No contacts or photos access by default. If you choose to add a business logo, the app asks permission to read a single image you pick from your photo library. The image is stored with your business profile on your device and nowhere else.
- No location data.
- No device identifiers collected by us. We do not use Apple’s IDFA. We do not fingerprint your device.
Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple’s StoreKit framework. When you subscribe, Apple charges your Apple ID and reports entitlement status back to the app. Receipt Desk does not see or store your payment information.
Apple’s handling of subscription data is governed by Apple’s privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Sharing receipts
When you tap Share or Export on a receipt, iOS presents the share sheet so you can send the PDF via email, Messages, AirDrop, or any app you choose. Receipt Desk hands the file to iOS and has no further involvement. Where the file goes from there is determined by you and the app you select.
Data deletion
Because all data lives on your device:
- To delete a single receipt: open it and use the Delete option.
- To delete all app data: uninstall Receipt Desk from your iPhone. iOS removes the app’s local database when the app is uninstalled.
Children
Receipt Desk is not directed at children under 13. It is intended for adults running small businesses.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s App Store update notes.
